Cousins

It is fun to watch Kayla with her cousins!  It makes me think back to the anticipation I had when we expected a visit from my cousins.  My mom’s sister had eight children and when they would come to town, it was like getting a whole new set of friends that loved you automatically.  There are three cousins that are pretty close to me in age and I played with them the most.  I can remember making a wrestling ring out of sleeping bags, and wedding headdress’ out of bridal wreath.  We would stay out in grandma’s yard talking, giggling, catching fireflies, swinging on the gliding bench, and just enjoying being together.  We even had an ultra-secret club that if I told you anything about it…well, let’s just say it would not end well for you!

Kayla also adores her cousins.  She couldn’t wait to get here to show them what treasures she had packed to bring.  (You know we have big girl Barbies now!)  We have a few more days with our cousins and I can’t wait to see what fun new bonds will be made!I am so glad that God gave us extended family!  I learn more family history, and more about myself every time we are together!

These pictures are of just of a few of my cousins, and Kayla’s cousins.  We wish we could see all of these and all the many more cousins regularly.  Thank you Lord for family!
